Chicago Spanking Review

Joker/Harley #12

---> Comics Gallery 1

John Martin did this very attractive scene - we're not sure of the medium he used - of The Joker once again taking his girl friend Harley Quinn over his knee, probably as a commission. It turned up for sale a while back and that's how we caught up with it. It's very well rendered and both characters have unmistakable expressions on their faces; Harley a wide-eyed innocence and The Joker a maniacal glee as if he really enjoys whacking her behind. Harley's pistol, which normally functions as a kind of grenade launcher (this may have been to avoid having her commit any replicable act such as firing an ordinary handgun for the children watching Batman: The Animated Series to see), here emits only a flag saying "Spank!" rather than "Bang!" which is a nice touch, as are the hearts in front of Harley and the stars to her rear. She's a very happy girl when her man spanks her! smiley face

Martin is apparently available for commissions, and considering the talent he shows here we'd certainly recommend him. His line is clean and his coloring looks solid, yet we have been unable to locate more of his art.
