Choosing a favorite spankee from among the X-Men and their related teams isn't easy. Kitty Pryde has been featured in a lot of independent spanking art but she wouldn't be our first choice even though she does come across as a natural submissive. The roguish Rogue is a natural choice, as is Ororo (Storm) who needs to be taken down a peg for her air of superiority, but we think our first choice would have to be Jean Grey, especially in her Marvel Girl days. (She later became Phoenix and Dark Phoenix). Maybe it's the red hair (CSR Resident Artist Hugob00m would surely approve as his predilection for redheaded spankees, including his own creation O. T. Katie, is well known), or maybe it's just as simple as her being the only female member of the original X-Men, but she was certainly one of the Marvel heroines we thought most about spanking.
Marvel Girl was never spanked in the old comics, but she came close once in Fantastic Four #28 (see Missed Opportunities in the Fantastic Four over on the CSR Forum). However, it seems someone agreed with us about her spankability and commissioned this work (we're assuming it was commissioned) from Artistic Discipline in which she's spanked by the team's old foe The Blob.

The original X-Men (including Jean) were all dressed alike, (with the unimportant exception
that The Beast wore neither gloves nor boots) which makes sense as they were supposed to be
a team. Cf. The Fantastic Four, The Blackhawks, The Doom Patrol, etc. although teams composed
of already-established characters (Justice League, Avengers) of course didn't follow this
convention. Eventually, the X-Men were allowed to customize their costumes, and Jean got a dandy
from the spanking perspective because it included a nice short skirt - perfect for lifting out
of the way to get to the seat of the problem

The Blob makes a good spanker because not only does he have an ample lap to turn a girl over, his grip is pretty much unbreakable so even a super-heroine isn't going anywhere once he's got her in the OTK position. Perhaps it's Jean's realization of this fact that explains her look of x-treme apprehension, or that he's got an awfully big hand to spank with, or that her bottom is now bare after he took down her panties.
Our artist, as we mentioned above, is Artistic Discipline who describes himself as a "Theoretical Astro-Fetishist" and is basically a humorous caricaturist. That means we might expect this spanking to be more humorous than erotic, and certainly we have a very un-sexy spanker. The Blob is sort of funny-looking here rather than just plain ugly (as in Jack Kirby's original conception of the character), but we should not underestimate this artist's abilities, and there are some erotic factors based mainly on Jean's nice bosom and her bare behind. Jean's expression - she's very, very worried! - would work well for either humor or eroticism, so it supports both in this case. The OTK positioning is pretty good and there is no problem with the variant position (Jean being over only one thigh) because The Blob is so big half of his lap is about the size of the average full one.
